Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about ordering Indonesian vanilla beans for your business.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

Our standard MOQ is 50kg for Grade A beans, 100kg for Grade B beans, 25kg for Tahitensis, and 25kg for vanilla powder. We offer sample orders of 1-5kg for quality evaluation before committing to larger volumes.

What payment terms do you accept?

We accept T/T (telegraphic transfer) with 30% deposit upon order confirmation and 70% balance against Bill of Lading copy. For orders exceeding $50,000, we also accept Letter of Credit (L/C) at sight.

What shipping terms are available?

We offer FOB (Free on Board) from Denpasar or Surabaya port, and CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight) to your destination port. Standard lead time is 7-14 business days from confirmed order and payment.

Do you provide samples before ordering?

Yes, we provide free 100g samples of any grade for qualified B2B buyers. Sample shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility. Sample orders of 1-5kg are also available at regular pricing.

What certifications do you hold?

Our processing facility is HACCP-certified. Every shipment includes a Certificate of Analysis (COA), phytosanitary certificate, fumigation certificate, and certificate of origin. We can also arrange additional third-party testing upon request.

What is the difference between Grade A and Grade B vanilla beans?

Grade A (gourmet) beans have higher moisture (30-35%), are longer (15-20cm), oilier, and visually perfect — ideal for retail, gourmet cooking, and premium extract. Grade B (extract) beans are drier (15-25%), which means higher vanillin per weight — more cost-effective for industrial extract production and manufacturing.

What is the difference between Planifolia and Tahitensis?

Vanilla planifolia (Bourbon-type) has a classic, creamy, rich vanilla flavor and is the most widely used species globally. Vanilla tahitensis has a more exotic, fruity-floral profile with cherry and anise notes — preferred for perfumery, chocolate, and specialty applications. Both species grow in Indonesia.

Can you supply organic vanilla beans?

Many of our partner farms practice organic cultivation without chemical inputs. We are working toward formal organic certification (EU/USDA) for select farming communities. Contact us for current availability of organically-grown beans.
